Do you sell directly?
Absolutely. We work with everyone from homeowners purchasing a single board to developers ordering truckloads of material for large residential or commercial builds. We are happy to accommodate projects of any size, shipping nationwide and beyond.
Where does your reclaimed wood come from?
We source our reclaimed wood from a plethora of structures ranging from barns to log cabins that are no longer in use or structurally sound. Our team carefully dismantles each structure and selects only the best material through a refined and intentional process. Keystone began with this exact approach. One of our founders would travel to take down old buildings by hand, while the other would prepare and sell the wood. Today, we operate at a larger scale, but the same level of care and respect for the material guides everything we do.
Can you handle large-scale projects?
Yes, we do so regularly. From multi-unit residential developments to commercial spaces and hospitality environments, our team is equipped to handle large volume orders with precision and professionalism. We manage logistics, coordination, and delivery for projects across the country and beyond.
Ordering and Shipping
How do I place an order?
If you are interested in any of our products please contact us via email (info@keystonereclaimed.com) or phone (267.517.2428) or visit us in person (255 RT 313 Perkasie, PA). We are happy to accommodate both in-stock and custom orders, and we will always do our best to source or create what you need if it is not currently in inventory.
What are your typical lead times?
Lead times vary depending on the product, but we are always transparent and efficient with timelines. We maintain a fully stocked lumberyard with a wide selection of materials available for immediate purchase, but also run many custom orders to your specs. The turnaround for custom orders depends on the specific product and quantity, but we are happy to walk you through your options and set clear expectations from the beginning.
Can orders be expedited?
Yes, we will always do our best to meet your schedule. If you are working on a tight deadline, let us know and we will evaluate your request based on the order details and our current production capacity. In many cases, we are able to accommodate expedited timelines.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship throughout the United States and can arrange delivery beyond the country when needed. While most of our orders are domestic, we are happy to coordinate international deliveries on a case by case basis.
Can you store my order until I am ready for it?
Yes, we offer complimentary storage for up to thirty days. If your timeline shifts beyond that window, we will work with you to develop a longer-term storage plan that makes sense for both parties.
Is there an order minimum?
There is no general minimum for orders. We are happy to provide anything from a single board to full truckloads of material. However, certain production processes require a minimum volume to run efficiently, and we will let you know when that applies to your specific request.
How is my order packaged and delivered?
Local deliveries are handled directly by our team. For regional and national shipments, we coordinate with experienced logistics partners to ensure everything arrives safely and on schedule. Depending on the scope of the order and budget, we may use dedicated freight or work with less than truckload carriers (LTL). All materials are packaged with care, and the method depends on what is being shipped, how it has been treated, and where it is going.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is required to hold any in stock material or to begin fulfilling a custom order. The remaining balance is due when the order is complete. In cases where the order is ready, but the customer is not ready to accept delivery, we do request the balance but will store the material free of charge for 30 days. We do require payment in full before scheduling shipment. We accept checks, wire transfers, ACH payments and all major credit cards. All payments, whether deposit or full balance, are considered acceptance of Keystone Reclaimed Lumber’s terms and conditions.
What is your return policy?
All materials are sold as-is. Because of the unique nature of reclaimed wood, all sales are final. In some cases, we will exchange the material for a 70% store credit and a 30% restocking fee. However, this depends on the specifics of the material. If you have questions before placing your order, we will gladly provide as much information as possible to ensure you feel confident about your purchase.
Products and Materials
Do reclaimed products contain lead paint?
Reclaimed wood may contain or have been exposed to lead-based paint, especially if the structure predates 1978. If painted materials will be installed in sensitive environments, please let us know.
Do you kiln dry and fumigate your materials?
Yes, all the time, but only when necessary. Much of our inventory is sold raw, meaning it has not been re-milled and has not been kiln dried or fumigated unless otherwise stated. These services are available upon request and may be recommended for certain projects. Our team will walk you through whether kiln drying or borate treatment is appropriate based on your use case.
Do you work with LEED-certified projects?
Yes, we are proud to support LEED-compliant building projects. Our reclaimed materials may qualify for LEED points under the U.S. Green Building Council’s standards for environmentally sustainable construction. If your project requires documentation or additional information, we are happy to assist.
What is reclaimed wood?
Reclaimed wood refers to lumber that has been salvaged from existing antique structures. We source from just about every structure you can think of, some dating back to the 1700s.
How are reclaimed materials harvested?
We do not demolish buildings, we dismantle them. Every structure is carefully taken down board by board. Materials are graded and sorted on-site, then brought back to our facility. In cases where the original timber frame is intact and salvageable, we tag and number each piece so that the structure can be rebuilt entirely.
Do you sell raw or finished wood?
Both. We offer reclaimed wood in multiple forms. Raw material is sold exactly as it was removed from the structure and is often purchased by contractors or manufacturers who handle their own milling. We also offer fully milled, kiln-dried material that is ready to install. For those seeking flexibility, we provide partially milled products as well, such as beams cut into planks that can be further milled to your preference.
What species of wood do you carry?
Our inventory typically includes oak, pine, and hemlock. We also frequently stock reclaimed chestnut, heart pine, hickory, maple, and cherry. Species availability may vary based on what we have in rotation at the time.
Should I be concerned about bugs or rot?
Our team is highly experienced in identifying signs of bugs and rot. Bug holes are not uncommon in reclaimed wood and are typically a sign of past activity, not current infestation. Active bug life is indicated by new sawdust, which we carefully watch for. If you are purchasing raw material, it will be untreated unless you request kiln drying or borate application. For many applications, we recommend some form of treatment to ensure long-term performance.
What finish is used on the sample wall in your showroom and online?
Our sample flooring display is coated in Minwax Fast-Drying Polyurethane in the Warm Satin sheen. This finish is durable and well suited for high-traffic use. Another commonly used option is Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish in Clear Satin for siding. That being said, reclaimed wood, like any wood, can accept any stain or finish. While most clients prefer the natural patina of the wood and only use a clear finish rather than a stain, we do have customers who use a stain to achieve a very specific color that will either match or accent existing features in their space.
